March to June: The Wind Season
Sustained wind is the defining feature of the Lubbock year, and the door is the biggest sail on the house.
This is the stretch where wind-related work concentrates. Watch for a door that visibly flexes inward on a windy day, for track that has spread at the top, and for roller stems wearing on one side. If your door bows noticeably, reinforcement struts or a stiffer door section are worth discussing before the next season rather than after something fails. Do not leave a door parked half open on a windy day - that is when doors jump the track here.
